Series “Philology” (Linguistics) is a scientific journal, which allows us to demonstrate the results of the most important directions of theoretical and scientific-practical researches in philology area (Germanic, Slavic, Oriental languages, Contrastive Linguistics, Translation Theory and Practice), conducted by the representatives of Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University and other educational higher institutions and establishments of Ukraine.

The collection is published two times a year in mixed languages (Ukrainian, English, German, and Polish).

The purpose of the collection – to cover and promote modern scientific studies in the field of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology, researches on linguopoetological, cognitive and pragmatic, stylistic, structural features of language and parole, discourse and conceptology, and to popularize scientific achievements of Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University in the field of linguistics on the West of Ukraine.
